Outsourced supply chain

This service is the most complex supply chain service M2 offers. There are no block orders from the client. Instead, M2 is responsible for calculating the need for products based on indications from the client about how many stores will open during the defined period of time, or based on statistical information in the Retail Platform.

M2 will thereafter warrant that there will be goods in stock to handle the projects. Stock levels are monitored weekly and M2 and the client meet up monthly or quarterly so that M2 can present the current stock levels and the client can present the future plan in relation to the official rollout plan. Furthermore, benchmark stores will be discussed in order to see whether there is a need to make adjustments to individual products due to changes in usage.

Through M2’s experience and analytical work, write-offs can be kept to a minimum.

All rollouts require fixtures and fittings to be in stock. A concept normally consists of 100–200 articles, which are all used in different proportions. Changes in the size or number of stores, countries, product ranges, conceptual changes, etc., will have an impact on the volumes and proportions. Over a longer period of time, this will lead to products in stock never being used and result in costly write-offs. Through M2’s experience and analytical work, these write-offs can be kept to a minimum and they will come as a known result of a calculated decision and never as a surprise.
