Snagging and follow up

Snagging is a quality inspection of the final store to check:

  • Whether the store has been built according to the approved Execution Drawings and/or White Box descriptions.
  • Whether the level of craftsmanship meets with what has been agreed.
  • Whether all items specified in the various order confirmations have actually been delivered and match what has been specified.
  • Whether all items delivered have arrived without damage.

Representatives from the client and general contractor need to participate in the snagging. Any/all deviations found during the inspection will be documented in words and photos, a rectification plan will be agreed, and a party will be given responsibility to carry out the rectification work within a given time frame. The inspection will result in a snagging report covering all rectification measures required. M2 will, when asked to do so, be responsible for ensuring that the inspection takes place as well as inviting the appropriate participants, handling the documentation and reports, and checking that the rectification measures have been carried out within the agreed time frame. M2 PM will also, when needed, coordinate the timing of rectification work to avoid where possible disturbance and interruption of the operations of the open store.
