To make this happen at M2 we are building a shared view of our actual status and a shared vision on how to work with sustainability in the future. We can then define clear and specified projects internally as well as together with external stakeholders to be able to reach our sustainability targets and vision.

Our work to become a sustainability driven business have multiple dimensions. A first step will concern our own internal efficiency and the minimizing of risks within for example materials used in production and internal as well as external processes. A second step will involve a more strategic approach to drive sustainability in our day to day business together with current- as well as potential clients.

As an example when we develop a new concept for a client we will take into account the most sustainable solutions along the value chain, from the choice of exclusive sustainable materials to the use of reusable packaging as well as the possibility to reuse or recycle store fixtures and products when it is time for renovation or a change of concept in the store.

We are also working with sustainability as a part of the continuous improvements that should be included in the M2 philosophy and a part of the overall company strategy as well as the Supply Chain strategy.

M2 work together with BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) to drive questions within social responsibility and ethical business behavior. Within the BSCI network we can work together with other companies and organizations under one common code of conduct to be a stronger partner and to be able to gradually improve working conditions and sustainability in the Supply Chain.
