Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct is the foundation from where we build our efforts to improve our Supply Chain and business to be more ethical and environmental friendly. The Code of Conduct outlines the requirements we put on our suppliers, especially in risk countries, to improve working conditions, see to that there is a safe and secure work environment and monitor that human rights are respected in a good way.

M2 is a member of Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) and work together with them to drive questions within social responsibility and ethical business behavior. By using the BSCI Code of Conduct and be a part of the BSCI network we can work together with other companies and organizations under one common Code of Conduct to be a stronger partner and to be able to gradually improve working conditions and sustainability in the Supply Chain.

The BSCI Code of Conduct base its principles on the most important international labour standards protecting the worker rights such as the ILO Conventions and declarations of the United Nations.

The Code of Conduct focus on the following principles:

  • The rights of freedom of Association and collective bargaining
  • Fair remuneration
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Special protection for young workers
  • No Bonded labour
  • Ethical business behavior
  • No discrimination
  • Decent working hours
  • No child labour
  • No precarious employment
  • Protection of the environment

Suppliers in what is considered to be risk countries have to work towards compliance with the M2 and BSCI Code of Conduct. Together with BSCI and our suppliers we will monitor with inspections and follow ups through third party auditors that the Code of Conduct is followed and work to improve and protect work conditions and human rights.
